Yanghee Lee is a developmental psychologist and professor at Sungkyunkwan University in the Republic of Korea. She is most noted for her work in international human rights organisations. She has served in the following roles: * Chairperson of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (2007-2011). * Chairperson of the Meeting of Chairpersons of Treaty Bodies (2010-2011). * United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar.〔http://www.ohchr.org/EN/HRBodies/SP/CountriesMandates/MM/Pages/SRMyanmar.aspx〕 She also founded the International Child Rights Center.
